Charlotte Mecklenburg City Council PORTRAITs
As long as I’ve been photographing, I’ve realized that I’ve covered a wide range of subjects. One of the things I admire about myself personally & professionally is that I keep an opened mind. When the city of Charlotte reached out to photograph their city council portraits, as honored as I was, I was also nervous and intimidated. Portraiture can be very intimidating as it is personal. Some of the most powerful portraits come from a place of vulnerability and the photographers ability to connect with the subject and create a visual that will tell a story the right way. It’s fair to say that not only am I proud of the work that was produced with the council members, but I’m also proud to know that I highlighted them in the light that they need to be seen in.
